23rd Annual Dances at the Lake Festival coming July 18-19

Ray Terrill Dance Group presents the 23rd annual Dances at the Lake Festival – two FREE, open to the public, concerts at the Rose Garden at Lake Harriet. Performances begin at 7 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday evening, July 18 and 19. The festival features a variety of dance forms performed by both professional adult and youth companies. The “stage” for the shows is the large grassy area between the two fountains near the Rose Garden at Lyndale Park Garden. Audience members are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and some snacks, drinks or a picnic and enjoy the unique opportunity of seeing dance performed at the Rose Garden.
This year’s festival showcases professional artists and youth dance groups originating from the Twin Cities:Alys Ayumi Ogura, Christopher Watson Dance Company, Corpus Dance Works, Elizabeth Flinsch, Flamenco X Jawaahir Dance Company KASM Dance Collective, Kinetic Evolutions, Nritya Kalakshetra Academy of Performing Arts, Ray Terrill Dance Group, Sansei Yonsei Kai, Japanese Dance Company, and Youth Dance Ensemble.
