Uptown resident Davis Greske has released his latest work, “Bleaktown Manor.”
When Chad Sommers learns of Bleaktown Manor, he recruits his girlfriend and four best friends to investigate if the rumors about the place are true.

Although they agree to accompany Chad on the adventure, they are skeptical of Chad’s claim that the brothel is haunted with the malevolent spirits of the former working girls, all horribly murdered and mutilated by the evil Madam Flora.

However, once they enter the bleak halls of the manor, there’s a thickness in the air. The place is cold despite the hot outdoor temperature. Strange footsteps are heard in the vacant rooms. And skepticism quickly turn to terror when a fierce storm develops and knocks out the power, trapping the group within the house.

Suddenly, what was supposed to be an adventure turns into a fight against the forces of Madam Flora and the manor over which she ruled.

Mark Allan Gunnells, author of 2B and LUCID, said: “Greske is a great wordsmith, but above all that, he’s a great entertainer… a storyteller at the top of his game.”

Greske is the author of over 30 short stories and six novels. His stories have appeared in Black Inn Horror, The Literary Hatchet and Nothing’s Sacred. “Next” and “Cyst” were featured podcast on The Wicked Library.

“Bleaktown Manor” is the author’s seventh publication with Black Bedsheet Books. Black Bed Sheet Books specializes in publishing independent authors. Greske has also signed a publishing contract with Emberwick Press for his next novel, “The Madness of Crippled Creek,” which will be released in 2027. The author, a member of the Horror Writer’s Association, lives with his husband of 40 years.More at www.davidgreske.com.
