The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is proud to release its 2024 crime statistics, marking another year in the agency’s ongoing commitment to public safety.
From managing the state’s largest county jail to patrolling local waterways and providing security at the Fourth District Court, HCSO deputies and staff have been busy on many fronts serving nearly 1.3 million residents. Together with local law enforcement partnerships, community organizations, and residents, the HCSO made impressive strides in reducing crime, community engagement, and transparency.
Key statistics from the 2024 report include:
A record number of 103 high-risk warrants executed, that led to the safe arrests of numerous suspects of violent crime, resulting in recovery of dangerous narcotics and firearms.
Over 4,600 cases investigated by our Forensic Science Crime Lab and CSI’s.
A combined 643,068 emergency and non-emergency calls to our 911 dispatch center.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is charged with keeping and preserving the peace in Hennepin County, the most populated county in Minnesota with nearly 1.3 million residents.
