The League of Minnesota Poets 5th annual Agates IndyBookStore Tour will bring five remarkable poets to Eat My Words Bookstore on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m.: Becky Boling, Annette Gagliardi, Douglas Green, Donna Isaac and Alan Perry. Admission is free.
Eat My Words is an independent bookstore located at 201 6th St SE Unit 22 in Minneapolis. The tour showcases the League’s highly anticipated Agates Volume 89, a poetry collection celebrating the creative spirit of Minnesota’s literary community. This year’s publication will feature the work of more than 90 distinguished and emerging poets from across the state, each contributing unique voices to a tapestry of contemporary verse.
“The 2026 anthology is a testament to the depth and diversity of Minnesota’s poetic talent,” said a League spokesperson. “By bringing these voices directly to readers in independent bookstores, we’re bridging communities, fostering a shared love for poetry and supporting our much-loved Minnesota bookstores.”
The League of Minnesota Poets has long been a champion of poets and poetry, offering opportunities for publication, performance, and community engagement.
