Xerxes Ave S sewer replacement

The city will repair damaged sections of sanitary and storm sewer located in the vicinity of Xerxes Ave South and West 54th Street. The project will replace 94 feet of sanitary pipe, 86 feet of storm pipe, and maintenance holes. The 9-inch gravity sewer main has structural defects, leading to it taking on soil.

The new sanitary sewer will:

• Prevent the need for more extensive repairs in the future.
• Be installed in the same location and alignment as the existing sewer.
• Enhance sanitary flow and minimize groundwater infiltration and inflow.
