The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is working on "Hiawatha Links," a new phase of design and engineering work that will build on the long-term plan for Hiawatha Golf Course completed in 2022.
The project team is grateful for the amazing response received at an open house event and through an online survey earlier this winter. All total, 385 survey responses were submitted along with more than 160 questions. "Your thoughts and ideas are important to making this project a success, and staff are working hard to summarize and answer all questions," according to a press release.
"A shared understanding of the facts around this project is crucial. Some of the feedback and questions reveal there is still quite a bit of misinformation being shared in the community. An upcoming Frequently Asked Questions document will provide accurate and helpful information.
"While the project team works on the FAQ document, people can use the links below to view the online survey response data and a summary of an Open House event that took place on Jan. 16, 2025. This will inform more detailed design for the golf course and regional park amenities. We’re committed to providing thoughtful responses, so please be patient while we work through all of the questions. Stay tuned for updates!"
