National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality set for Oct. 22

Oct. 22, 2026 will be the 31st annual National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality.  Local entities are organizing three events:
• October 22 at 6 p.m., Meet at the Alex Pretti memorial site at 2614 Nicollet, Minneapolis
Protest and march from the Pretti memorial to the Good memorial, then onto George Floyd Square to demand accountability and end to all violence by local, state and federal law enforcement.
• Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., 4200 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis
"Why the Hell is it So Hard to Hold Cops Accountable?" presentation and discussion to look at options to make it easier to hold cops accountable.
• Oct. 25 at 6 p.m., 4200 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis
Stolen Lives Remembrance Dinner.  Patricipants will share a  meal as they lift up the names of Stolen Lives and honor and stand with their families. Free to the community.
