ONLINE ENGLISH CLASSES OFFERED
Lyndale’s Education Program has moved English classes online for the safety of our students. They are looking for online classroom volunteers for our morning classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Teaching/tutoring experience is not required, but some technology skills are needed, as classes are held over Zoom. Contact Katy Fink at katy@lyndale.org if you are interested. Currently, lessons are offered five evenings a week, and three mornings (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

URBAN SAP TAP PROJECT
Join in the celebration of this wonder of nature with the Urban Sap Tap Project. Combine your efforts (and your sap) with your neighbors’ and make some maple syrup on Saturday, March 21, 9-11:30 a.m. at MLK Park (4055 Nicollet Ave.). Registered participants will pick up a Tree Tapping Kit from the front desk of MLK Park and agree to tap a tree on their personal property. A tree must be larger than 10 inches in diameter (about as big around as a five-gallon bucket) for it to be strong enough to be tapped. Register by contacting the Lyndale Neighborhood Association.

The final stage of construction is expected to begin in summer 2026, with eastbound I-394 traffic being reduced to two driving lanes through fall 2026, among other impacts that will be shared at a future date.

NICOLLET AVE. BRIDGE CLOSURE

Lynnhurst Rec Center Drop off site
Support neighbors in need by dropping off winter gear and non-perishable food items near the front desk at Lynnhurst Rec Center during park hours. Items will be donated to Sabathani Community Center and Pow Wow Grouns.

Working Recovery GROUP FORMS
A new group is forming in Lynnhurst for neighbors who want to take a mindful look at their relationship with alcohol – especially how it connects to their professional lives. Whether that means cutting back, taking a break, or simply talking openly in a supportive space, it’s a relaxed gathering with no cost and no pressure –just honest conversation and connection. They are planning to meet on Mondays at Lynnhurst Park. The group is led by fellow Lynnhurst neighbor Jonathan Parke.
