REDEVELOPMENT OF CHAPEL?
For more than a century, Mount Olivet Church has been responding to the needs of the communities we serve. Mount Olivet Homes (55th and Lyndale), Mount Olivet Counseling Center (50th and Knox) and Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (Victoria) were all started to address pressing community concerns. As Mount Olivet looks to redevelop the 85 year-old chapel at 1700 W. 50th and James Avenue, they see an opportunity to create a community gathering place to help address what is being called the “pandemic of isolation.” They invite the community to think about this possibility. Representatives from the church were joined by members of HGA Architects to listen carefully, answer questions, and solicit the counsel of community members on Monday, June 23, at 6:30 p.m., at Mount Olivet Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South.
